Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announce divorce

The day after their ten year wedding anniversary on June 29, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they would be seeking a divorce. In a joint statement issued to TMZ on Tuesday, the couple explained that they had “made the difficult decision to divorce.” However, the two actors plan to mediate the divorce agreement, saying they will “go forward with love and friendship for one another.”

The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place, but the two appear to be working together to come to a mutually satisfying agreement. They have made the decision to co-parent their three children, ages 3, 6, and 9, and to resolve all questions regarding finances and custody before signing any papers.
