Country music couple Shelton and Lambert splits

Country singers Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have announced that they are officially ending their marriage of four years with a divorce, according to the U.S. News & World Report on July 20.

The couple, which was married in Texas in 2011, said that parting ways was not the future they had planned. Over recent years, the couple was bombarded with tabloid gossip that focused on their personal lives and Lambert’s weight.

Miranda Lambert is a multi-awarded country singer who frequently dominates various awards shows, including the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. Blake Shelton is also a country music singer who is known for his role as a judge in “The Voice.”
