Custody battle looms over Sherri Shepherd’s unborn surrogate child

The future of Sherri Shepherd and her estranged husband’s unborn surrogate son remains uncertain as the two prepare for a legal fight regarding the child’s custody, according to a report by The Daily Mail on July 30.

Before each of the couple filed for divorce in separate states, Shepherd’s ex Lamar Sally filed for legal separation earlier this May. His documents demanded full parental custody of the child, which would entitle him to child support. Sally also requested compensation for attorney fees, spousal support, and the annulment of his prenuptial agreement on grounds of fraud.

Shepherd reportedly does not want to be responsible for the unborn child, believing that it was conceived under a deceitful surrogacy contract so that Sally could get spousal support.
