Former Subway pitchman Fogle’s divorce finalized

CBS News reported on November 25 that a Boone County judge has granted the divorce of Subway’s former spokesperson Jared Fogle and his now ex-wife Kathleen McLaughlin on November 16. The divorce was filed by McLaughlin on August 19 after Fogle decided to plead guilty to charges related to child pornography and pedophilia. Fogle was charged for illicit sexual behavior with minors and the distribution of child pornography, according to reports.

Fogle and McLaughlin were married in 2010 and had two children together. The divorce proceedings included a filing made by McLaughlin in September in which she contested Fogle’s request to spend time with his kids. The filings mentioned Fogle’s criminal case as well as his 14 victims. McLaughlin and her children moved to a different state to avoid the media attention.

The divorce was finalized a few days before Fogle was sentenced to 15 years in a federal prison in Englewood, New Jersey.
