Man getting divorced drives wife’s car into New Jersey river

The New Jersey Herald reported on November 10th that a man going through a divorce had driven his wife’s car into a river.

Reports say that the 50-year-old man went to his wife’s residence to pick up the red Corvette, which he jointly owned with his wife, and proceeded to drive it to the riverbank. He exited the car, according to witnesses, and allowed the car to glide into the river.

Police are searching for the man, but he is unlikely to face theft charges. He is, however, possibly facing charges associated with violating a protective order against abuse. He may also face reckless endangerment charges.

If you are going through a divorce, it is absolutely essential that you feel safe.
