Celebrated sports star Deion Sanders’ divorce from Pilar Sanders was finalized on June 28.

Sanders expressed his happiness over the finalization of his 2-year-long divorce court proceedings from now ex-wife Pilar through his Twitter account.

The contentious divorce proceedings that began in 2011 ended favorably for Sanders as he was awarded sole custody of their children: Shelomi, Shedeur, and Shilo. He also was awarded ownership of a Proper, Texas mansion.

But in a Dallas Morning News report, it was stated that Sanders has yet to tackle charges of physical abuse, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty made against him by now ex-wife Pilar in a separate case, which is due for jury trial.
